HELP NEEDED PLEASE – tomorrow to run the BBQ for a couple of hours in the afternoon

Fri Mar 03 11:41am

As a school fundraiser our PTF is running a food stall at the Vintage Machinery show tomorrow.  Due to a couple of last minute changes we now require 2 or 3 people to help run the BBQ for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

We would very much appreciate your help please.  If you are able to do this can you please contact Myra in the school office today and we will pass your name and number on.

Alternatively if you have Sara Perret’s contact details you are welcome to contact her directly.

Our PTF work extremely hard to provide for our students and it would be wonderful to have some extra support for them.

Reminder – Paid Union Meeting for teachers TOMORROW Monday 27 February – early pick up if possible please.

Sun Feb 26 04:45pm

A reminder that tomorrow Monday 27 February our teachers union (NZEI) are holding a paid union meeting for our area. The meeting begins at 1.30pm.  As a great many of our teachers are members and will be attending, this does mean we will not have enough staff to cater for all of our students.  If you are in a position to pick up your child at 1pm that would be greatly appreciated.

Our Year 4, 5 and 6 students do have swimming during this time and we are keen to still move forward with this.  It would be great if they could remain at school for the afternoon.

For everyone aside from Year 4, 5 & 6 students, we will work on the basis that unless we hear from you we will assume your child will be collected early.  For students in Year 4, 5 & 6 we will work on the basis that your child will remain at school unless we hear from you.

Buses will run as normal.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi there, we have a few more spaces in Rippa Teams for students so please enquire at the office if your child is interested in filling the gaps. First in First Served.

We are also low on refs and managers this year and currently have none for our three Year 7 and 8 teams and needing one more for Year 3/4 Team. Can you please let Janelle know if you know of any one, could be a high school student who may be interested in helping out. She is also happy to explain the rules around Rippa and help with any questions.

Open afternoon – Friday 10 February: 1.30 – 3.00pm

Fri Feb 03 02:20pm

Next Friday 10 February we will be holding an ‘Open Afternoon’ at school.  This is a very casual event which gives you an opportunity to come in and see your child’s classroom and meet their teacher (if you have not had a chance to do so or even if you have).

You are invited to come along at any stage between 1.30 – 3.00pm. There are no set timelines or talks and we would not expect to be here for the entire time!  Just a chance to connect.
